“The faster you go, the harder you fall.” Keep that in mind.
I am now a strong believer in this saying, why? Tried and tested---definitely proven.
Being quite an impulsive person, I’ve always wanted to go straight to the point because in the end, that’s where we’re going anyway so why don’t just go? Right? *SMH*
But I realised that that's not really how it works. The “going to” process is always the most important---in everything aspect of life that is. So just like the body of a story, you can't just go from beginning straight to the end because that won't make any sense.
In love, for example, taking things slow, will make you realise the difference between infatuation and real feelings towards the person.
Also, NOT rushing means turning into something meaningful (and most of the time it does).
Going slow could also make someone realise the more important parts of whatever it is your doing---love, work.
Lastly, from what I have experienced, taking it slow makes things last longer. Not longer because you're taking it too slow, but longer because you get to appreciate everything around you even more.
I've always been told not to rush into the things I do and take time to actually, sit and think about things. But being the stubborn person that I am, it took me a long time to actually focus and put my mind to it and calming down and taking it really slow. Sometimes I forget and go back to that old self.
Sometimes, you would need to take a step back and consider things. Consider what is good for you.
But whatever it is, it can wait. I can wait.
I now make an effort at moving ever so aware and conscious in my life and the things and the in-betweens.
Keep calm, and hakuna your tatas!
